Why does my car air con smell bad?

Foul smells coming from the car air conditioner may be caused by a build-up of bacteria. As your car ages (or when the air conditioning systems are used infrequently), bacteria, micro-organisms, mould and fungus can start growing behind the dash panel on the evaporator.
This build up can some very unpleasant odours carried on the air coming out of your system, which isn’t ideal for drivers or passengers in the vehicle. Some people claim this can result in headaches and flu-like symptom sometimes referred to as “sick car syndrome”; in any case it makes driving a lot less pleasant.
Fortunately, this can be solved by using an anti-bacterial treatment that destroys the bacteria growth in automotive air conditioning systems, getting rid of any smells and the general mustiness that can occur. Much better for your car – and for yourself.
